It's more of a complaint than an observation. Tone doesn't convey well in text. The picture was shopped so much it wasn't really enticing any more. That was more or less my point.
I never understood whether the "girl next door look" meant plain, wallflower looking, or super bubbly attractive.

lol @ people complaining about Photoshop. Practically every photo you see of a model is photoshopped, guys.
If OP shopped it, please be honest and let us know. If OP just posted it as found, then buyer beware. Sometimes the shop is good and I can't tell if it was. If it looks good, sometimes I don't care!

Great response thanks. I agree - I was wrong to assume almost everyone knows the difference between shopped/unshopped photos. Of course there are those who can that come across as put off or outraged by seeing one. And I also didn't think of the list of other NSFW subreddits that feature unshopped posts. Your observations of pre-digital techniques and an increasing issue of body image are interesting and spot on. And yeah, the medium is the message.
