I never said I thought that. I stated more or less the same thing you did. I know people's tastes vary, its the degree of the aversion that I doubt. I actually don't care for most piercings either, or many locations and types of tattoos. I also don't (typically) yammer on about it on Reddit. I'm not saying that they should or shouldn't, I was merely explaining my opinion on why it is that they do.

I agree, I feel the same way about piercing and tattoos and splitting your tongue like a snake and implanting ballbearings under your skin. People are indifferent and don't actually find them unappealing. The are simply bandwagoning and part of the hive mind. I think it's just bandwagoning. I believe most people in reality are indifferent to curious about them, and the reasoning behind it. But there are of course people who genuinely don't like them, and I think that, especially in places like Reddit, as you've seen first hand, people will jump aboard the popular opinion, where normally they wouldn't really mind.
